Health Issues: Some women may experiences irregularities in their monthly cycles during a travel which may or may not be of psychological origin. Similarly, as women are more susceptible to urinary tract infections, hygiene during travel or trek should also be considered.

we advise to be very careful to the mothers of young children and expecting mothers. Trekking in the high altitude areas is also not recommended during pregnancy or for the mothers of very young children.

Safety Issues: Women travellers are advised to accompany someone preferably a male companion especially while travelling the in rural areas. Although women are generally treated with decency, travelling alone might make you vulnerable to harassment form some drunken male or petty thieves.

Cultural Issues: Sex is still a taboo in Nepal. Village women in Nepal are expected to cover their body fully with clothes. Although the urban areas, and especially Kathmandu, are less restrictive, decency in Nepal requires women wear less revealing outfits.
