Mt. Cho Oyu
Mount Cho-Oyu lies in the eastern part of Nepal at Khumbu region. It rises 8201 m. above the sea level. Mr. Maciej Berbeka from Poland scaled this mountain for the first time on February 12, 1984 via South East Piller. Cho Oyu is the sixth highest Himalayan peak and one of the most beautiful mountains of the world, located a short distance to the west from Everest and Lhotse in the Khumbu region of Eastern Nepal. Cho-Oyu means “Turquoise Goddess” in Tibetan. It is one of the famous Himalayan peaks for mountaineering expeditions. It has a great history of mountaineering right from the time when many mountaineers were trying their luck with Everest. It is surrounded by the unforgettable presence of the world's mightiest mountains.
